Telnic

Branding themselves as “The new way to communicate”, Telnic is a limited liability company incorporated in England. As I understand it, they are a registry operator for the new .tel domains, which provide individuals and businesses with a unique way of sharing all types of contact information with any device connected to the internet,

With them you can (from their website):

  • Join a global online directory that provides you instant worldwide exposure…
  • Integrate all your means of communication in a single place under your control…
  • Update and manage your contact information and keywords in real time…
  • Increase your search engine visibility through descriptive keywords…
  • Provide a fast way for your customers to connect with you in a single click from any mobile device…
  • … all without the need to build, host or manage a website.

Telnic’s sole purpose is to act as the Registry Operator and Sponsoring Organization for .tel, a new sponsored Top Level Domain awarded on May 30th 2006 by ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

Telnic’s contract with ICANN is publicly available.
