Chile Verde
I used chiles verde for my second experiment in home-made hot sauce. After doing some research on the plant it turns out that chiles verde:
- Have a variety of names – Anaheim Chile; California Green Chile; Long Green Pepper; Chile Verde; (When Mature And Red – Chile Colorado; California Red Chile)
- The flavor ranges from mild and sweet to moderate hot,they can vary greatly from pepper to pepper. The one’s I used are Hot. Not HOT or Hot. Just Hot. A nice crisp and even warmth across the mouth.
The recipe I used was pretty much similar to the one used here. I’m experimenting with a new way of displaying the pictures becasue I’ve been taking up way too much room on my server.
