I am presently pursuing two Master of Science degrees. One in Information Management and the other in Library and Information Science.
I used to do business development, marketing and operations management at a bunch of tech firms and at a management consulting firm. I always gravitated toward the information and data side of the work I was doing and used any opportunity (both actual and engineered) to manage and design information.
The recession came, I was abruptly handed way more free time than I was used to having, and seized the chance to go back to school to study what I loved.
Now (aka Kitlas 2.0) I’m pursuing the stuff I like – the Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) (http://ischool.syr.edu/), data science, radical librarianship, eScience, telling stories with data, and information management.
